Muktha[1] was a serial telecasted in the Kannada language on ETV Kannada.
It was directed by T.N. Seetharam, who also acted as a lawyer (as CSP) in the serial. The director aimed to inspire civic awareness and action with stories depicting the fight for justice even against all kinds of bureaucratic and political opposition. Muktha, a word with roots in Sanskrit, means 'reprieve'. The program ended on 12 September 2010. The main theme of this serial was to increase legal awareness among the people. In this serial, well known and renowned Kannada writer Sudha Narayana Murthy also acted as a Judge.
The serial was again started in the new name as 'Muktha Muktha' involving new characters and different geographical location. T.N. Seetharam reprises the role of CSP. In the new[when?] serial Muktha Muktha, T.N. Seetharam explores issues such as those involving the Naxal, farmers, and the medical system. The unique impact of these serials is caused by the way the stories can be modified to reflect current issues and events.

Elsa George (born 1991), better known by her stage nameMuktha in the Malayalam film industry and by Bhanu in the Tamil film industry, is an Indian film and television actress. She is also a classical dancer and an entrepreneur.[3]
Muktha started her career as a child artist when she was in class six. She acted in television serials such as Swaram (on Amrita TV) [4] and then switched to the film industry.[5] Her first film, Lal Jose's Achanurangatha Veedu, released in 2005, when Muktha was doing her 8th standard.[6] She was seen as Lisamma in the film and The Hindu wrote 'It's perhaps one of the most enduring female roles in modern Malayalam cinema'.[4]
She later acted in a Telugu film titled Photo opposite Geetanjali and Anjali.[7] She made her successful entry into the Tamil film industry with the film Thaamirabharani opposite Vishal. She later starred in some Malayalam films like Nasrani and Goal.
She played an established actress in the Tamil film Pudhumugangal Thevai.[8]
In Moondru Per Moondru Kadhal she played the role of a 'feisty young woman' called Mallika who belongs to a fishing community.[4] For her role, she spent one month on the beach under the sun, getting herself a tan and also learnt to speak Tamil in the Nagercoil slang.[9]
In 2013, she signed her first Kannada film, Darling, directed by Santhu where she starred opposite Yogi.[3][10]
Muktha is a trained classical dancer and has done many stage shows.[4] She is also managing a beauty salon.[3]
Muktha was born as Elsa George, the youngest of two children to George and Saly at Kolenchery. She has an elder sister, Doshy Marya George. She went to St. Augustine's Girls Higher Secondary School, Kothamangalam, Kerala.[4]
On 23 August 2015, she got engaged to Rinku Tomy, brother of Rimi Tomy. On 30 August 2015 she married him at St George Catholic Forane Church in Edappally, Kochi. She gave birth to a baby girl on 2016.[2]

‘Muktha-Muktha’ serial was telecast in ETV Kannada channel. The serial had ended on 12 September 2010. The serial was directed by T.N. Seetharam. The director also acted as a lawyer in the serial. The director took the daily civic topic in the society that was bothering the citizens and created awareness through this serial.
Every episode has a different tale to tell. It taught people how to seek justice in the society which is their fundamental civic right. Despite strong bureaucratic and political opposition that prevents the general public seeking justice in the society, the serial created an awareness in the minds of the public.
